Waterlilly.blog is written by a British female with over 30 years experience in a variety of sectors including consultancy, finance, academia, the not-for-profit and corporate sectors. For over 20 years she has specialised in environmental and sustainability related issues and is now a sustainability manager in a large multinational. Underpinning her experience are a Masters degree in environmental change & management and a PhD in a forestry & finance related topic. As such she has a wealth of experience and a balanced perspective on current issues.

The aim of the blog is two-fold. Firstly, to provide education and knowledge to those who want to learn more about sustainability and the environment, and secondly to promote discussion and debate to help advance the agenda and learn from each other.

The blog was launched at the end of July 2025.
